A Place to Bury Strangers recently released a new album to the independent masses. Released on October 19, 2009, “Exploding Head” lives up to the independent music reviews that have praised APTBS as New York City’s “loudest band.” Their sound can simply be described as noise – a dissonant, melancholy vocal track laid over a screeching blend of guitars and ear-splitting cymbals. Think HEALTH meets New Order meets My Bloody Valentine.
Highly recommended for anyone into the noise-rock scene. Here is a link to preview the album through iTunes.
Tonight, 9PM-11PM in Palisano
Come celebrate the end of the semester with the incredible techno-audio-visuals of HUXLEY and SUPER-VJC!
We’ll also open the mic to up and coming guest DJ’s, and have some hands on demos of Ableton Live and Modul8 VJ software.
Brought to you by your Canisius Radio Station, The Wire!
Being that next week is exams, shows are going to be optional and also as a special Xmas gift from me: If you would like to come down and play music at anytime next week let me know who will take advantage of this due to the fact that you will need to get a key from CPLD or Public Safety so I have to and them a list for constant key access.
Thanks, and Have a Rockin Xmas

Reminder today Dec 2 we will be showing Cadillac Records in HO 109 at 8pm…there will be pizza and pop!
For a very special season finally with guest Jamie O’Neil. Also as a special bonus anyone who calls in with a WORD and at least a one minute talk on their word (try to be funny). You will then be entered in to win a total of THREE chances to get the prize of TWO movie tickets.
I know this is early, but being that we all should have had registered for classes I was thinking that we could begin scheduling people for shows. So as a reminder 1st semester=1 hour. Second semester=1 hour 30 minutes (for one person) 2 hours for two persons. Third semester plus=2 hours.
